Text and email consent (draft)

The exact wording we plan to use when we ask to text or email you. Pending lawyer review.

DRAFT Pending lawyer review. Not in use until a lawyer approves it.

Our rules for asking

  • One clear checkbox for texts, separate from the email box, never pre-checked, right next to the submit button.
  • It names each pro who may contact you. No hidden "partners," and we never sell or share your request with anyone else.
  • It says texts may be automated, that consent is not a condition of service, and how STOP and HELP work.
  • We plan to keep one-business-at-a-time consent even though the FCC's one-to-one rule was struck down (Eleventh Circuit, Jan 2025).
  • Every marketing email has our mailing address and a working unsubscribe link, as the FTC's CAN-SPAM guide requires.
  • No texting until our business texting registration (A2P 10DLC) is approved.
