Finally, a place for rural contractors.

Built for the contractors who work where the pavement ends, and the landowners who need them.

Why this exists

Building on raw land takes a lot of different contractors: someone to clear it, someone to cut the driveway, a septic installer, a well driller, a pump company, maybe a pond builder, a barn builder, and a storm shelter installer; add an electrician for a long power run and a plumber for the well line, hydrants, and septic hookup. Most of those businesses are small, local, and hard to find online, and big home-services apps are built around city jobs. Rural contractors deserve a place of their own. Rural Contractor Network is meant to be that place: a network where rural trades get found, refer work to each other, and use tools built for rural jobs, and where landowners can find every rural pro in one spot.

Who runs it

Rural Contractor Network is being built by David Duffy, a Pennsylvania business owner who also runs the Exotic Ranch & Wildlife Network.

How we make money

Landowners use the site free. Contractors can list free, or pay a flat monthly price for Pro or Premium tools (extra counties are $5 a month each). We also plan to sell flat-price ads to equipment dealers and suppliers, ready-made templates and guides, crew hiring posts ($29 each), and one ad per issue of our weekly landowner email. Every ad is labeled "Ad." We do not sell shared leads, charge per lead, or take a cut of jobs, and we take no insurance or loan referral fees. Paid plans and ads never affect reviews or the Rural Verified badge. Paid plans change where a listing appears; they are not an endorsement.

About this preview

  • The directory shows example listings only. They are made up and marked "Example listing."
  • The quote, join, claim, job post, and other forms save what you send so we can read it. Nothing is sent to contractors, published, or charged yet. See Privacy.
  • Our email address, [email protected], is working.
  • Cost ranges on trade pages come from the published sources linked on each page.

Coming later for landowners

Not built yet:

  • Reviews with photos, only from real jobs. The review rules are set; reviews open at launch.
  • Questions and answers on contractor profiles.
  • Spanish for the rest of the site. The most-used pages are already in Spanish.
